Encrypt

Inherible encrypts, cuts up and stores all your sensitive data in a decentralized network. Inherible is a noncustodial service, which means we do not have access to your data.

We use a combination of encryption methods like AES-256 and xChaCha20-Poly1305 to encrypt your data. This way we ensure when a vulnerability is found in one of the encryption methods, the other methods will still be able to protect your data and we can deprecate the vulnerable method.

The Passphrase is provided by you and is used to directly encrypt your data directly on your device. This way we can ensure that even if all our security layers are bypassed, your data still can't be decrypted without the passphrase.

This is up to you. Inherible offers you the option of encrypting the passphrase and storing it safely for you, so you don't have to remember it. You can also choose to store the passphrase elsewhere yourself, but be sure to share it with your beneficiaries.

We apply multiple layers of encryption to your data and break it down into multiple pieces that are then stored on a decentralized network. This combined with the additional client-side encryption layer makes it impossible for us to decrypt your data.

At Inherible we try to know as little as possible about you and only ask for the data we need to provide our service. Besides the assets you store with us, we also encrypt all the other private data you share with us.

Since we are not a financial institution, so we don't have to comply with any 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) legislation for our customers that store their keys with us. We only ask for the data we need to provide our service. We don't share your data with third parties and we don't use your data for any other purpose than providing our service.

Your payment information and e-mail may give us some details about you. However, all your data is encrypted in Inherible, which means that any data you store with us will not be linked to your assets. The e-mail you share with us is used only for important communications such as life-checks. You email address is also encrypted and will never be shared with third parties.

All data on our service is encrypted and stored on a decentralized network. We have no direct access to your data and do not share your data with third parties, including the government.

Your data is encrypted with multiple keys and multiple methods and then split into many pieces, each of which is encrypted separately, split into pieces and encrypted again separately. The data stored on individual servers on the network does not resemble the original data in any way. Even if someone could decrypt the data, it would be useless. Some call this overkill; at Inherible, we call this security.

Inherible's life check system accurately gauges the timing for executing your inheritance, employing diverse methods. We strive for prompt execution, balancing urgency and caution to ensure precision.

There are different ways to provide us with a sign of life. The most straightforward one is logging in to our platform and clicking the 'I'm alive' button on your profile page. The second is clicking the link from the life check email. These will send us a sign of life and reset the timer. You can also use our mobile app to do this. We also provide you with the option to set up a life check method that will automatically trigger a sign of life when you perform a certain action. This way you can be sure that your life checks will be triggered even if you forget to log in to our platform.

Once the life check timer expires we will start sending you emails to remind you to perform a life check. If you login to our platform or use another automatic life check method you might never have to receive an email.

This can be caused by a number of reasons. If we got a sign of life via any of the other life check methods you won't receive an email. Rest assured we will do more than just send you an email to check if you're alive. We will also check if you're still alive by using other methods. If we don't get a sign of life within a certain time frame, we will conclude you are no longer around, this is when we check in with your beneficiaries.

We will up the frequency of the life check emails. If you still don't respond we will start using other methods, like SMS or push notifications, finally we'll contact your beneficiaries, asking them if you are indeed no longer alive. They can in turn initiate the inheritance process.

Inherible assists your beneficiaries in claiming your inheritance by furnishing necessary information and guiding them through the entire process for a smooth and informed transition.

Life checks are the basis for this. We also perform a manual check to verify that you are no longer around. This way we can be sure that your beneficiaries will only receive your inheritance after you are no longer around. Once the inheritance process starts a cooldown period is in place, during which, you are still able to cancel the whole process.

As many as you want to. Each asset you store with us supports 1 beneficiary.

We provide them with all the information they need to claim your inheritance. If you gave us a hint you stored a private key with us, we will provide them with instructions on how to access everything and claim the funds. If you opted-in for the personal inheritance service we will also get in contact with them to help them with the process.

At any time you are able to change your beneficiaries. You can do this by logging in to your account navigating to your vault and clicking the 'Edit' button next to the asset you want to change the beneficiaries of. Here you can remove or add beneficiaries.
